In this day in age with all of the gender bending, androgynous things that we observe throughout our culture the subject of male waxing should not be out of the norm. I’m referring to male waxing. Male Waxing: Is It Painful
Asking if this procedure will hurt is a good question. I can hear you telepathically, so I took the liberty of researching the level of pain. The short answer is “yes”. The long answer is that it has its painful moments but not nearly as painful as you imagine. It’s a quick pain and generally does not last for long. The first wax is the most uncomfortable because you are a “virgin” and your hair and skin are not used to the procedure. I always tell my clients to at least try it twice and then make a decision if they want to continue on a regular basis the second time is so much better. Hey if the woman can do men can man up and take the charge right?
Male Waxing: Side Effects
Being a virgin in the sense of male waxing can come with some side effects it seems. What that means is that sometimes especially during the first wax that you will experience some side effects: That can be small bruises; a miniscule drop of blood from the pores when the hair is first pulled out which subsides right away; redness in the area. The scrotum is a delicate area the first time as well. I use a quality French hard wax on the scrotum and I try to get every single hair. However, if your scrotum starts to look as if it is breaking down I will stop. I’d rather leave a couple of hairs than remove skin and usually by the second or third time it is not a problem.
Male Waxing: Preparation
Another thing of note is to prepare ahead of time before you go in for the procedure. If you shave, they will need about 1/4 inch re-growth to wax the first time. If your hair is long the personnel will usually ask that you try to trim it especially in the mound area to 1/2inch. It’s always nice if you are fresh in that area shower
Male Waxing: Frequency
If your asking how often you should come in for a male waxing experience, the short answer is that it varies from person to person. Your first male waxing session will grow a bit faster than subsequent male waxing and you will possibly notice re-growth in 10 days. By the third regular wax done every 4 weeks you will notice that your hair is finer and not as dense and you will feel less discomfort. The re-growth will be slowed and you will notice that it can take from 3 to 4 weeks to come back so you will feel basically hair free most of the time.
